For Baby

The Nested Bean Sleep Sack is a weighted sleep sack for babies 0-6months old. It is made of 100% cotton and can really make the transition away from the swaddle much easier.

Baby Merlin’s Magic Sleep Suit - another great way to transition from the swaddle! This suit is made for babies 3-6 months.

The Baby Merlin Sleep Sack is suitable for little ones 6 months and up.

A Dock a Tot or Snuggle Me are the perfect addition to any registry. Little ones love the cozy space these loungers provide. Please make sure not to use them in your bed as a substitute for a safe co-sleeper.

The Zipidee-Zip Sleep Sack is a swaddle blanket with zipper and one of those handy things that I wished existed when I had my babies. I hear nothing but great feedback on these swaddles!

Size Small Size Medium

Mesh feeder/teether - I prefer the silicone ones because they are not quite as messy, but you could try different kinds to see which ones your baby prefers.

Dr Brown Haakaa

Teething mittens are sooo handy! It is the perfect teething toy for your little one and one of the more popular ones with the kiddos. This worked by far better for mine than the typical plastic or silicone toys that end up being thrown into the dirt by the angry baby.

My favorite Bath tub by far because it just looks so cute is the blooming bath. You can position it in your sink and easily bathe your little one without kneeling or bending over. Of course, there are many other options that may be more suitable for your family’s needs. I have listed a couple below.

Diapers on your registry are a good idea if you know which brand you would like to use. There are lots of options on the market and you may want to add small amounts of different brand diapers until you figure out which brand works best for you. Remember, there are ways to save on diapers! Try Amazon Subscribe and Safe for easy and convenient delivery to your doorstep.

White noise machines can make life easier for parents. These sound machines make soothing white noise to help your baby settle down and sleep peacefully. The Hatch Baby is a popular brand and it is controllable from your phone with the compatible app.

The Amber Teething Necklace is one of my personal favorites when it comes to teething babies. Important is that they have a safety clip so that baby is safe. How does it work? These teething necklaces made of Baltic amber, or fossilized tree resin. When worn, your baby’s body heat triggers the release of a minute amount of oil that contains succinic acid, which is absorbed into the bloodstream when baby sucks or chews on the necklace. My kids loved it and it helped keeping the fussiness at bay.

There are lots of Baby Monitors available. Some have a camera, others only transmit sound. I have listed my two favorites below, just click the link to get to the item description. The Owlet goes hand in hand with the Owlet sock and can be tracked via app on your cell phone.

The Owlet Sock is a pretty amazing gadget, but it may or may not be worth the investment. Personally, I never opted to get one because of our family’s sleeping arrangements and because I never really felt the need to monitor my little one that closely. I can see the benefits of this device and would encourage you to add it to your registry if you are considering to make the purchase.

Pacifiers get lost all the time, so there is nothing wrong with stocking up ahead of time. The one thing I will caution you about is, that your baby may have a particular taste when it comes to pacifiers and bottles. Until you have tried them and baby approves, it may not be worth investing into bulk purchases.

Bottles are tricky as well. Some babies take bottles easily without being picky, others will refuse the bottle entirely. You just don’t know how your little one is going to react to the plastic nipple in their mouth. Now, if you are formula feeding or exclusively pumping, I would encourage you to pick one brand and stick with it. Your baby will likely not give you any major issues if you fed with the same brand from day one. For nursing mothers, this may be a totally different story. It doesn’t hurt adding a few different brands to your registry - just in case your baby is a selective eater.

Cutting baby fingernails can be a daunting task. The sensitive skin sometimes attaches to the nail and cutting the nail could result in bleeding. It is recommended to file the nail instead and there are really neat electric nail filing sets available for purchase. My favorite one is below.

There are so many more items you can add to your registry. Stay tuned for Part II of this blog that will cover car seats, strollers, cribs, swings, bouncers and co-sleepers!
